specialty of dentistry that deals with periodontal diseases. The periodontium, which consists of the gums, perirhizium, the facet apophysis and the bone, provides the support needed for the tooth to maintain its position and functionality. The most common diseases of the periodontal tissues are gingivitis and periodontitis. Gingivitis is inflammation that is confined to the gums only and causes them to bleed. Periodontitis is inflammation in an advanced stage and infects not only the gums but also the gum bone.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
